The proposed development will destroy many old, protected trees. Take a look at the proposal to see the devastation that rezoning and developing this land will cause.

An Ancient Forest Worth Saving

Colleyville is home to Cross Timbers Forest land, a unique environment that stretches from Central Texas to Southern Kansas.

The property proposed for rezoning is home to nearly 1,000 large, mature heritage trees. Specifically, there are:

  • 550 Oak trees Many of these oaks are over 100 years old and have been around since long before Colleyville existed.

  • 150 Loblolly Pine trees – several that tower over 100 feet tall and have been growing on the property for 60 years!

Many of these trees are over 100 years old and have been around since long before Colleyville existed. Other trees tower over 100 feet tall and have been growing on the property for 60 years!

Proposed Rezoning

Take a minute to familiarize yourself with the proposed development. If the rezoning proposal is approved and this development proceeds, this forest of mature, heritage trees will be lost.
